The ever amazing Vauxhall VXR8, which you might know as either Holden or Chevrolet depending on what part of the world you live in!, has been heavily revised for the new year.

The biggest and most drastic change is for the exterior which as you see has become very ugly! It gets a new nose, LED lights and bigger grills. And it’s the same story on the sides and the back where you do get more grilles and more vulgarity. We liked the old one better.

The engine, fourth generation 6.2-litre LS3 unit, is also tweaked and now produces 431PS and a massive 550Nm of torque. That means this humdrum four-door sedan can go from nought to 60 mph in 4.9 seconds.

And although the chassis and suspension is also uprated and it comes with a new launch control, Vauxhall promises that none of the driving fun has been lost in the new model. It’s priced from 49,500 GBP in the UK.
