Hyundai has already come up with a rally version of the recently-revealed Veloster coupe which means they are serious about involving this car with motorsport.

This car has been developed in cooperation with Rhys Millen Racing and is powered by a 2.0 liter turbocharged engine that puts out a colossal 500 hp sent to all four wheels. The hood, doors, quarter panels, front fascia and rear fascia are all built out of carbon/Kevlar for the sake of lightness, so this car is quite a beast.

That’s why the main car will be driven by Rhyss Millen himself, only he can handle it!

RMR and Hyundai are constructing a second Veloster rally car that will be a shared ride between rally champion Marcus Dodd and world record freestyle motorbike rider Robbie Maddison. Millen and Maddison will drive the Hyundai Veloster rally cars at Summer X Games. A third Veloster rally car will be constructed to compete in the 2WD class in limited number of U.S. Rallycross Championship events and will be piloted by to-be-announced celebrity drivers.
