Peter Kalikow might have made his fortune in real estate business, but this guy has a strong passion for great cars. Since 45 years ago he’s been commissioning one-off Ferraris for his collection and here’s the latest, the  Ferrari Superamerica 45. The car is called 45 as a tribute to the 45th anniversary of his first purchase from Ferrari.

To be unveiled at the Villa d’Este Concorso d’Eleganza, the car features bespoke design with a carbon-fibre rotating hard-top which incorporates a rear screen. The boot is entirely new to house the roof when open, and is now in carbon-fibre with a design optimised to reduce drag and increase rear downforce. The Superamerica 45 is finished in an exclusive Blu Antille, a colour that matches another important car in the client’s collection – a 1961 400 Superamerica cabriolet nr. 2331SA.

You find the same color on the wheels as well which is a great touch of taste. he roof and other carbon-fibre elements of the bodywork – front splitter, side skirts and rear diffuser – are in a special contrasting darker blue, a theme that is carried over to the cockpit which features dark blue carbon-fibre dash trim and driver zone.

Engine-wise it’s based on the SA Aperta, which means it’s powered by the same 670 hp V12 from the 599 GTO.
