Aston Martin LMP1 in Le Mans, ELMS and ALMS

Aston Martin officially confirmed that their LMP1 prototype racer is preparing for 2010 24 hours of Le Mans and also two rounds of American Le Mans Series, as well as one round of European Le Mans Series.

The car will wear the legendary Gulf blue and orange livery in all of the events. The European race it’ll take part is the opening round of ELMS in Paul Ricard circuit. The American races include the 12 hours of Sebring and the Long Beach Grand Prix.

The team of drivers include Chris Buncombe, Stefan Mucke, Harold Primat, Darren Turner and Adrian Fernandez.

“Having won the Le Mans Series Team and Driver titles in 2009 it will be a hard act to follow,” said Aston Martin Racing Team Principal, George Howard-Chappell. “However, we are looking forward to a great season of racing and we hope to have another strong showing at Le Mans. I’d like to welcome Adrian to the team, I’m sure with his experience he will be a great addition to our driver line-up.”
