2010 Audi S5 Sportback

The new member of Audi’s sporty Sportback series is the S5 model which has been presented at the 2009 Frankfurt Motor show. The Sportback is a new badge from the German company which combines the very elegant coupe styling with practicality and versatility of a four-door sedan.

The Audi S5 Sportback follows the same recipe, a wide and low body with big wheels, yet with a big rear hatch (it’s a five-door car actually) and plenty of room inside the car. The S5 features a single-frame grille, big air intakes, the sill strip, the spoiler lip at the rear and the four-tailpipe exhaust system all sport an exclusive design.

Being the top model of the new Sportback series, the S5 is powered by a new supercharged V6 engine. At 2,995 cc it develops 333 hp and 440 Nm (324.53 lb-ft) of torque between 2,900 and 5,300 rpm. It’s coupled with a seven-speed S tronic gearbox and Audi’s well-known Quattro system.

S5 Sportback sports remarkable performance! zero to 100 km/h only takes 5.4 seconds, however the top speed as usual is electronically limited to 250km/h. The average fuel consumption of this car is around 9.7 liters per 100 KM (about 25 mpg).

2010 Audi S5 Sportback will go on sale in Europe in Spring next year starting at 57,900 euros.
