Toyota Avensis BTCC
Next year British Touring Car Championship will have new regulations in hope to being back the good old days when BTCC was still exciting!
And the first car to be built with the new rules is this, a Toyota Avensis, being prepared by GPR Motorsport team and backed by Toyota. Here’s the first rendering of the car giving us a preview of how it will look like.
It’s an official Toyota car for BTCC, as they’ve announced they’re not coming back. But they will supply private teams with cars and technical support.
James Thompson, a BTCC double champion, will pilot the Avensis NGTC when it makes its first public race appearance at Brands Hatch on 9 – 10 October. That is the last race of BTCC in 2010.
