Peugeot EX1 must be the most capable concept car of all time! Most concept cars don’t even work, but this little electric vehicle has already sets record for standing start and top speed, and recently it broke the lap record for electric cars round the Nurburgring, smashing the previosu record by 50 seconds. Stéphane Caillet, driver and tuner-technician from the Company’s Research & Development Centre, was at the wheel of the EX1 Concept Car, which covered the circuit’s 20.832 kilometres (12.944 miles) in 9:01.338 at an average speed of 138.324 km/h (85.951 mph). Many people believe that the GT3 RS is the best variant of the 911. It offers the best compromise between a sportscar and a proper racing machine. And that has been proved at 2010 Nurburgring 24 hours race, by a private team who raced a street-registered GT3 RS non-stop and without a single flaw and then drove home with it! And the most amazing thing is that the car which was literally in standard condition, apart form some safety features, tires and rear wing, finished 13th overall, between 200 cars. CNG-Powered VW Scirocco locked-out the podium at Nurburgring

VW’s gas-powered Sciroccos managed an amazing one-two-three podium finish in the class for cars with alternative power in the 24-hour race at the Nürburgring. Driven by Vanina Ickx (Belgium), factory driver Nasser Al-Attiyah (Qatar), Dieter Depping (Germany) and Klaus Niedzwiedz (Germany), they also secured 16th place overall. The 330 hp Scirocco GT24-CNG with its green heart Volkswagen also celebrated winning the FIA Alternative Energy Cup, which was awarded for the first time after the motorsport marathon in the Eifel. BMW Victorious at 24-hour ADAC Nürburgring Race

This year BMW returned to the 24-hour race of Nurburgring, and won it! BMW Motorsport team with their M3 GT2 managed to cross the finish line first after 154 laps of the green hell. This victory was BMW’s 19th, and it was achieved by their new team of drivers including Jörg Müller (DE), Augusto Farfus (BR), Uwe Alzen (DE) and Pedro Lamy (PT). It wasn’t an easy victory though! Gas-Powered VW Scirocco takes on the Green Hell

This year at the 24 hours race of Nurburgring aka the green hell, VW shows us its eco-racer face by entering three Sciroccos powered by natural gas engines, which emit considerably less Co2. They use a 2-litre TSI turbo engine powered by bio natural gas developing 243 kW (330 hp). The previous version used to have 207 kW (282 hp).
