Chevrolet Returns To IZOD IndyCar With New V6

Chevrolet officially announced the return of the brand to the IZOD IndyCar series from 2012. The new car will be built in collaboration with Ilmor Engineering, and will be powered by a brand-new twin-turbocharged, direct-injected V6 racing engine powered by renewable E85 ethanol fuel. They will also supply Team Penske with this engine. Honda 2.4 liter Turbo V6 Engine for Indycar Series

The IZOD Indycar organization has instructed teams to reduce their costs by 2012, and Honda as the engine supplier responded quickly by introducing the new generation of Indy engines. Following the new Formula, they are making 2.4 liter twin-turbocharged V6 engines which will replace the current 3.5 liter V8 monsters. They will be just as powerful but ore efficient. 2010 Lotus Cosworth IndyCar Revealed

As you know this year Lotus and Cosworth come back to IndyCar racing series with a brand-new car which made its debut at the St. Petersburg race. The new machine features the same classic green and yellow racing livery as the legendary Lotus type 38 of 1960s. Former Japanese Formula1 driver Takuma Sato is the won who will be driving this car throughout the season. He hopes to have a great year with Lotus. Lotus Cosworth return to IndyCar

In 2010 Lotus and Cosworth has teamed up with KV Racing to make a big comeback to IndyCar Series. The Lotus-Cosworth IndyCar will use the classic Racing Green and Yellow livery used on Lotus Racing cars in the 1950s and 1960s and this new livery will debut at the first USA round of the IndyCar Series. The history of Lotus and Indy Series begins from 1960s with the Lotus Type 38 driven by Jim Clark which won the Indianapolis 500 race. As you know the current type of Indycar racing machines will retire next year, and for 2012 they will be replaced by an all-new generation which has to be more efficient and cost effective.
