The British sportscar maker, who has recently joined forced with Lotus to expand business, will celebrate its 100th race at Wiltshire circuit, Castle Combe, on August 13. Twenty-five years after Caterham’s iconic Seven first raced at Combe, drivers in the Caterham Graduates Championship will take part in a 20-minute race as part of the August Cup race weekend on the track described by Autosport Magazine as “the best club racing circuit in Britain”. From British Grand Prix next week, Lotus F1 cars will appear on the track with Caterham written on each side! After ll Caterham too, like Lotus, is now a Malaysian-owned company. Caterham SP/300 R Track Test

Providing fans, potential buyers, and enthusiasts with the first opportunity to try out the new SP/300 R, Caterham announced the dates for the cars track events. The SP/300.R will be built in a newly-equipped facility neighbouring Caterham’s existing factory in Kennet Road, Dartford. The building became available earlier this year and will allow the build team to work alongside the Company’s main engineering base. Customers who have already placed orders will be given priority booking slots, after which the extensive list of people who have registered an interest with Caterham will be offered one of the strictly limited drives. Caterham Announced Seven Supersport

Caterham wants to add some variety to their lineup of one car with a new edition of the legendary Seven. It is the Seven Superposrt which is inspired by the actual racing car of Caterham Superpsort championship with the same sort of performance, but with refined ride and handling for road use. Weighting just 520 kg, it remains loyal to the ‘Less is more’ philosophy and with 140 PS at the tap, it is plenty fast with zero to 60 mph in 4.9 seconds and a top speed of 120 mph. Caterham at 2011 Autosport Show

Caterham has made a lot of noise at the Autosport International Show at Birmingham’s NEC this week by revealing a new prototype racer and presenting a drift show. The British sportscar maker unveiled their new model, Caterham-Lola SP/300.R, which unlike what most people were expecting is not a road car, rather a racing machine for a one-make racing series and track day events. This cool racer is very light and features a supercharged version of the Ford Duratec power plant, expected to produce around 300bhp.
