Mountune Ford Focus ST In BTCC

As you know Mountune is Ford’s performance arm, and they also cooperating in their motorsport careers. This year Mountune has entered an LPG-powered Focus ST in BTCC, and they are doing great! Driven by Tom Chilton from AON team, the first LPG car in BTCC managed to get the Pole Position this last Sunday. The Mountune Ford Focus ST LPG BTCC is powered by a 2.o liter Duratec engine, converted to run on liquid gas, which result in better efficiency and cleaner performance. It is also fitted with a new type of fuel injection system and a new turbocharger to make sure the power is also at an optimum level! Chevrolet Cruze off to a good start in BTCC

The manufacturer-backed Silverline Chevrolet racing team started this year’s British Touring Car Championship at Thruxton with two podium finishes for Jason Plato, and gaining 74 points. In the first of three races, Plato finished second to bring home 12 points, from starting fifth on the grid. Then in the second race, Plato came home fourth, and then in the third he managed to finish second again. 2010 Chevrolet Cruze BTCC Revealed

When Chevrolet started its career in Touring car racing in WTCC series with the Aveo, they were not really good to be honest! But over the years, they got the hold of it and become better and better. Now in 2010 they are also competing in British Touring Car Championship with the new Cruze racer. This year there are two manufacturer-backed Cruzes entering BTCC. The cars will be prepared by the Welling borough-based RML team, which also looks after Chevrolet’s WTCC Cruzes. LPG-Powered Ford Focus ST In 2010 BTCC

Team Aon has prepared a Ford Focus ST for the new season of British Touring Car Championship, which unlike other contenders doesn’t run on petrol. This car is powered by liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) and makes the Aon team the first ever to use this fuel in BTCC. Apart from technicalities, they hope that switching to LPG brings more media attention to them mainly because the liquefied gas is known as a green fuel.The team’s decision to switch to LPG follows an extensive evaluation programme with the team’s engine development partner Mountune Racing and leading UK supplier Calor. 2010 Honda Civic BTCC Revealed

Team Dynamics Motorsport has unveiled their new BTCC Honda Civic which come in white and Honda’s traditional racing colour and that of the new Civic Type R MUGEN 200 cars. The driver lineup for 2010 season include the touring car master Matt Neal and Gordon Shedden. Steve Neal, Team Dynamics Team Principal, said: “Team Dynamics and Honda have a huge heritage, it’s the brand that we won two championships back to back with and it’s great to get the support of Honda (UK) which is backing a car that’s built in Britain.” The new season of British Touring Car Championship will stat at Thruxton on Sunday, 4 April.
