Everything is great about the 2011 Ford Mustang GT 5.0 apart from its power output, which is only 412 hp.

And it hurts more when you realize this magnificent 5.0 liter V8 engine has much more potential than this. Fortunately help is at hand! Ford Racing and ROUSH both have released new supercharger kits for the Mustang 5.0 which turn the power up significantly.

The Roush’ package delivers 550 horsepower and 470 lb.-ft. of torque and costs $5,999, and that’s about it.

But Ford Racing gives you more options. You can either get the basic plan which for $7,199 develops 525 SAE hp @ 6400 rpm and 470 SAE lb.-ft. @ 4200 rpm, or go for the $7,499.00 (black) and $8,099.00 (polished chrome) package with a full 624 SAE hp @ 6900 rpm and 536 SAE lb.-ft. @ 4700 rpm. You can even buy the Tuner’s Package which costs $6,499.
