Lotus is still continuing the tradition of making of high performance cars through lightness by introducing the 2012 Lotus Elise Club Racer. This car gets the same 1.6 liter engine as normal Elise, but it’s been on a diet and has lost 40 kg of weight. It also drives better thanks to the Sport setting for the DPM (Dynamic Performance Management), and sport suspension and an adjustable anti-roll bar, as well as Eibach springs and Bilstein dampers. As promised Lots has prepared the racing version of the Evora, called the GT4, and it makes its racing debut at Nurburgring European GT4 Championships race. Apart from its GT career, this Evora will be also used in a one make Evora Cup series. The car is specially lightened (weighs 1190 kg – 200 less than road-going Evora) and at 360 hp it’s even more powerful than the recently revealed Evora S. It is also a great looking racing car featuring Lotus Motorsport Green livery with a yellow twin-stripe running down the centre.
