Yes, there is actually a racing version of the Jaguar XKR luxury coupe! Jaguar and its JaguarRSR team are back for their second year of racing cooperation for 2011 American Le Mans Series with two updated JaguarRSR XKR GT racers. The first year for this car this season is 59th Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring in Florida, which is also paced by a production XKR. This car is also one of the best looking machines on the grid. Jaguar has released an update for its high-end XKR model for the new year in form of the optional Speed and Black packages. The Speed Pack, apart form its added exterior aero parts and 20-inch wheels, has one great feature! It does not have a speed limiter, so while the standard XKRs can’t go any faster than 155mph, this model can reach 174mph. This is the fastest XK model ever built. As it turns 75 the most successful British brand in racing is set to make a big return to 2010 Le Mans 24 hours. The race that the have won seven times between 1951 and 1990. The car they will use is a Jaguar RSR XKR GT2 spec which was initially developed for American Le Mans Series by the American RSR team. It will be driven by Scott Pruett and Marc Goossens. C.J.
