Hyundai Veloster Rally Racer

Hyundai has already come up with a rally version of the recently-revealed Veloster coupe which means they are serious about involving this car with motorsport. This car has been developed in cooperation with Rhys Millen Racing and is powered by a 2.0 liter turbocharged engine that puts out a colossal 500 hp sent to all four wheels. The hood, doors, quarter panels, front fascia and rear fascia are all built out of carbon/Kevlar for the sake of lightness, so this car is quite a beast. Hyundai Genesis Coupe Racing by Gogogear

Gogogear, not interested in light tuning, has come up with a full-on racing version of the Hyundai Genesis Coupe for this year’s SEMA show. This car is designed to tackle the competition at U.S. Touring Car Championships in 2011, as well as Time Attack and endurance races. Therefore it’s been equipped with a 330 horsepower and 280 lb. ft. of torque, racing features and specially tuned chassis and suspension. It also gets an ARK body kit, racing livery, and a business-like interior with Sparco race seats and seat belts, a full custom Metric Motorsports roll cage, a SPA Techniques fire suppression system and a two-way radio. Rhys Millen Hyundai Rally Car

Rhys Millen has put together a Hyundai WRC rally car which appears to be based on an old Accent, but it’s hugely capable! It’s got a turbocharged a four-cylinder engine which makes 500+ hp. The power is sent to all four wheels via a racing Xtrac 6-speed sequential transmission. Hyundai Sonata 2.0 Turbo

Hyundai has just added a new model to the 2011 Sonata range which is simply astonishing! This car, badged 2.0T, is powered by a small and efficient 2.0 liter four-cylinder engine. So it’s quite economical averaging 34 mpg. But because it’s turbocharged, it is also pretty strong! This 2.0-liter Theta II turbocharged gasoline direct-injection develops 274 hp and 269 lb-ft of torque. Hyundai Genesis Coupe R-Spec

At 2009 SEMA tuning show in Las Vegas, Hyundai will unveil the R-Spec version of its popular Genesis Coupe model. The Genesis R-Spec is a lightened and performance-oriented car which eliminates some non-essential convenience equipment such as: Bluetooth, automatic headlights, cruise control, trip computer, chrome interior accents and steering wheel audio controls, therefore it’s considerably cheaper than the Track model. The car is powered by a 2.0 liter turbocharged and intercooled four-cylinder engine with dual continuously variable valve timing delivering 210 hp, 30 mpg and a top speed of 137 mph.
