One of the latest Abarth-powered Fiat 500 is the 695 Competizione, to be revealed at 2011 Frankfurt Motor Show. Inspired by the Abarth 500 Assetto Corsa, the exterior of the car flaunts an exclusive Grigio Competizione Opaco livery, embellished by a livery of racing appeal that however forgoes strong colour contrasts in favour of a refined tone-on-tone effect. The main features inside the car is “Abarth Corsa by Sabelt” seats in black leather with Alcantara® red inserts and a carbon fibre shell and seat base. Abarth Punto Evo With esseesse Kit

Great news for those who appreciate Abarth cars, but hate the cheesy fiat 500! You can now have the Punto Evo Abarth with the esseesse kit. That means an 180bhp hot hatch with visual appeal and great features. The engine’s Electronic Control Unit (ECU) is upgraded so that, along with its Garrett GT1446 fixed-geometry turbo, the 1.4-litre turbo unit produces 180bhp at 5750rpm. These modifications give the Abarth Punto Evo esseesse a 0-62mph acceleration time of 7.5 seconds and a top speed of 134 mph. Stopping power is supplied by disc brakes all round (fully floating self-ventilated at the front, cross drilled at the rear), complete with Brembo M4x40 front callipers. 2011 Abarth 500 GB Trophy

In the midst of the Autosport International Racing Car Show in Birmingham Abarth confirmed the one-make racing series for Abarth 500 trophy in UK will return for the 2011 season. After a successful first year in 2010, Abarth is pleased to announced the 2011 calendar which include six races. The new season’s party piece is the Spa-Francorchamps grand prix. Other races include Oulton Park (April 23 to 25), Snetterton 300 Circuit (June 25-26), Brands Hatch (22 to 24), Spa race (August 7 to 9), Brands Hatch Indy (September 3-5 ) and Donington park from October 9. All participants will use Abarth 500 Assetto Corse powered by 1.4-liter 16V turbo with 187 hp and 300Nm of torque.

Atomik Cars from France has come up with a very cool car which satisfies both criterias of being green and sporty! It’s called the Atomik 500 because it’s based on the Fiat 500 Abarth. This fast little car is powered by sophisticated electric motors which are backed by lithium-ion batteries and given the light weight of the car, it is capable of blistering performance. It does zero to 60 mph in just 5.6 seconds, runs 400-meters in 14 seconds and one kilometer in 26 seconds!
