SSC Tuatara Interior Features

SSC finally revealed the interior design of their magnificent Tuatara supercar, letting us into an amazingly futuristic cabin with space-age features and technology. The main gauge cluster area is a glass screen that is lit up by Pico projectors behind, and is similar to a HUD (Heads Up Display). On the driver’s side, 2 smaller HUD displays, are located on each side of the steering column; their design inspired by the Tuatara’s rear winglets. On the right, the HUD displays the current gear of the car, and is flanked by a shift indicator light tree that provides the driver with valuable shift timing information. 2012 Hennessey Venom GT Specs

The Venom is Hennessey’s high-end supecar which is based on a Lotus, but powered by a big American engine (6.2L twin turbo V-8 engine producing an amazing 1,200 bhp and 1,155 lb-ft of torque) that gives it Bugatti-rivaling performance. To maximize the power-to-weight ratio, the Hennessey Venom GT utilizes some of the most hightech racing components available today. This includes the use of carbon fiber body panels and hybrid wheels constructed of both carbon fiber and forged-aluminum. Morgan too decided the best way forward is to switch from making gas guzzling sportscar to high-tech electric cars. What they are proposing though it a bit different than everybody else’s. They are working on a system with with Zytek drive through a manual gearbox will increase performance, range and driver involvement. So far all the EVs have 1-speed transmissions. The idea of a manual gearbox sounds bonkers, but it might work, and it does, that means they can deliver more torque to the wheels, and seeing as electric motors develop torque in big lumps, that means incredible performance. Caterham Marks 100th Castle Combe Race

The British sportscar maker, who has recently joined forced with Lotus to expand business, will celebrate its 100th race at Wiltshire circuit, Castle Combe, on August 13.
