Chevrolet’s first attempt to make a hot hatch is not that hot after all. It goes on sale in late 2012, after making its public debut at the 2012 North American International Auto Show. The new RS amplifies the Sonic’s youthful style and driving experience with unique exterior and interior features matched with a 138-horsepower (103 kW) Ecotec 1.4L turbo engine. Chevrolet Corvette Daytona Prototype

The mighty Corvette gets a new body for its latest assignment, which is to compete in GRAND-AM Road Racing Series. The car made its debut yesterday during the GRAND-AM test at Daytona International Speedway. Chevrolet has not released any technical details, but they’ve revealed the four teams that will be using this car net season, including No. 90 Spirit of Daytona Racing; No. 10 SunTrust Racing; No. 99 GAINSCO/Bob Stallings Racing, and the Nos. 5 and 9 Action Express Racing teams. A drop-top version completes the range of the new Camaro ZL1. The car will debut at the Los Angeles Auto Show next month. When it goes on sale in late 2012, it will deliver more performance and technology than many exotic cars and ultra-luxury convertibles. A Camaro ZL1 with no performance modifications, driven by Camaro Performance Engineer Aaron Link set a lap time of 7:41.27 from a flying start at the fearsome Nurburgrign track at 7:41.27. It gives you a perspective how fast this 580 hp muscle car really is. Measuring 12.9 miles (20.8 km) and including some 154 turns, the Nurburgring’s Nordschleife (“north loop”) is widely considered the world’s most-demanding course.
