Cadillac CTS-V SCCA Racer

This is how the new race car by Cadillac, which is currently in the works, will look like. This race-spec Cadillac CTS-V is being prepared for the brand’s return to the SCCA (Sports Car Club of America) World Challenge series next year after four years. They’ve signed with Andy Pilgrim and  Johnny O’Connell as drivers since they will enter the competition with two teams. The CTS-V race car returns Cadillac to a series where it competed from 2004 to 2007. Competing in the GT Class with the CTS-V Sport Sedan, Cadillac captured the Manufacturer’s Championship in 2005 and 2007 and the Driver’s Championship in 2005. 2011 Cadillac CTS-V Coupe

General Motors revealed the production version of Cadillac CTS Coupe model during L.A. Autoshow last year, and now they introduce the V-powered variant of the car before its debut at 2010 Detroit Motor Show. For those who are familiar with the CTS and CTS-V sedan, this car is instantly recognizable. Although the Coupe has a different shape specially at the rear-end, but the V-series visual factors are all over the car giving it a distinguished character. The CTS-V coupe gets the same engine as the sedan version which is one of the most powerful units GM has ever made.
