One of the most important new cars for Aston Martin is the car that will never hit the roads! It’s the V12 Vantage GT3 which from net season will replace the DBRS9 race car in endurance and GT racing series. Aston Martin Racing began testing its new V12 Vantage GT3 at Brands Hatch in Kent this week, covering almost 1000 kilometres in just two days. The majority of the mileage was conducted by factory driver Darren Turner. It uses a significantly revised version of the DBRS9’s 6.0-litre V12 engine. Road-Going Aston Zagato V12 Revealed

Aston Martin and Zagato released teh first image of the road-going Zagato V12, which will go on sale next year, in limited numbers of only 150 units. The design seems to be a mix of the race car and the Villa d’Este concept. Hand assembled at the company’s global headquarters in Gaydon, England, the V12 Zagato is based on the highly acclaimed V12 Vantage and features a beautiful ’handcrafted‘ aluminium and carbon fibre body. 2012 Aston Martin V12 Vantage GT3 Confirmed

The new official racing car for Aston Martin has been officially confirmed for 2012 season. It is the V12 Vantage GT3 which replaces the DBRS9 and offers better performance with lighter weight and better aerodynamics. The Vantage GT3 features a modified version of Aston Martin’s production 6.0 litre V12 engine found in the marque’s highly acclaimed sports cars. The dry-sumped engine is expected to produce 600 bhp with 700 Nm of torque and its position has been optimised further to improve weight balance. A carbon fibre propshaft mates the engine to a Xtrac 6 speed sequential transmission with semi-automatic paddle shift gear change. Aston Martin is now more involved in motorsport than ever, and it shows with the lineup they’ve prepared for this weekend Total 24 hours of Spa race. Six Aston Martins will line up on the starting grid at Spa-Francorchamps for the Total 24 hours of Spa race, part of the Blancpain Endurance series. There is a saying that rich people don’t care about price of things. They see things, they want them, and they get them. And I’m sure they do, but I don’t think anyone likes being ripped off. Take the Aston Martin Zagato V12, a fabulous car that appeals to car collectors and those looking for a very very very special car.
