Ferrari revealed the competition version of the new 458 Italia, which will be used for their one-make racing series starting from next season.

Ferrari 458 Italia Challenge will replace the current F430, and like that it’s s stripped-out race-prep’d version of the road-going car. Although the 570 hp engine in this car remains the same as stock, it’s lighter and comes with race-tuned suspension, brakes, E-Diff and traction control.

Ferrari says this new car is about 2 second a lap faster than the 430 around the Fiorano race track, and that means it will result in more exciting races throughout the season. They will also make a GT version of the car for endurance racing later on.
