Porsche has revealed their latest car which is a new member for the Boxster family, called the Spyder.

Boxster Spyder is built using styling cues from the legendary 550 Spyder and technical cues from the RS Spyder racer. It is a lightweight sportscar which, according to Porsche, is a pure driving machine.

It comes with a mid-mounted 3.4-liter flat-six engine with Direct Fuel Injection which has 320 hp and coupled to the PDK gearbox. The car weights only 1,27g kg, so with this much power it’s become quit a performer. With 0 to 60 acceleration time of 4.8 seconds and top speed of 267 km/h or 166 mph, it definitely goes like a sportscar should.

Being a lightweight vehicle not only makes the Spyder very fast, it also helps with the efficiency.  It averages 9.3 litres on 100 kilometres (equal to 30.4 mpg) which is quit good for a car of this type with this superior performance.

And that lead us to another good thing about this car which is the price. Equipped with the Sport Chrono Package, the Boxter Spyder will cost you 53,100 Euro when it hits the market in early 2010.
