2010 Dodge Viper ACR-X Track Car

As promised earlier by Chrysler officials, a new special edition of the 2010 Dodge Viper has been revealed. It’s a track-only sports car called the ACR-X and comes with lots of racing equipments to make you feel like a GT champion!

Developed by SRT team, the engineers have combined all the good things of the street-legal Viper ACR and racing ingredients of the championship winning Viper Competition Coupe, to make the ACR-X one badass beast!

It is powered by a specially developed version of the 8.4 liter V10 engine which is equipped with factory headers and a low-restriction exhaust system, and develops 640 hp, 40 more than the road-going version.

Viper ACR-X is also 160 pounds lighter than the standard model and is fitted with racing suspension, brakes and aerodynamic parts such as the front splitter and the huge rear wing. This being a track car, it is also full of safety equipments including factory-designed roll cage, fuel cell and race seats.

The Viper ACR-X will be available to order from Spring 2010 for around $110,000. As you know 2010 will be the last year for this generation of Viper, so the company is going to make a number special editions paying tribute to this magnificent car.
